Media Players
Real Player has been around for a while. A very nice audio/video combo. Also required if using Rhapsody.
I have always stuck with WinAmp for all my music playing needs. Does a great job of keeping track of music and information. Although I do feel the video is not as good as the competition. Here is a screen shot of winamp.
Now, onto Video. The only Video Player you will ever need is VLC media player or also known as "Video Lan". This player plays everything from iso images to anything you can possibly throw at it. This is freeware! Also happens to be the best software for the purpose. I have a whole entertainment center setup using videoLan and Winamp on a pc connected to a receiver blasting out any media I put through it, with excellent quality. Try it out!! Screen shot below.
